Fishing in Victoria BC June 2017

Hello everyone! Another great day Fishing in Victoria BC. This fun couple came from Kamloops to try their luck fishing the waters off Victoria BC – The Capital City. We found these fish about 7 km’s from Victoria Harbour. It takes about 20 mins of running time and you find yourself on a bank that contains a fairly consistent supply of salmon. Our guides fish here a lot and know the area incredibly well. Using single action islander reels and light rods you get your work out in fighting these fish.

Limits for this time of year is 2 salmon per person per day with a 4 salmon possession limit if you fish multiple days. These lucky anglers “limited out!” and were off to take their fish home with them to share with friends and family. We love eating salmon and one of our favourite marinades is a simple combination of Ketjap Manis(sweet soy sauce), fresh grated ginger and sesame oil (just a few drops). Just mix those three ingredients together and BBQ the salmon brushing each side liberally with the marinade as it cooks. Serve with a salad from the garden and you have just caught and grown an awesome spring/summer meal.

Fishing in Victoria is easy, fun and a great way to create memories that will last a lifetime!
